Homemade Dog Training Treats (WFPB, GF)

Hey babes,

So, we got a puppy a few months back and she is a chompy little handful, but very intelligent. Decided to make this recipe so I’d have healthy, small treats to help reward her training. So far, doggo approved. Give them a try and let me know what you think in the comments!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oats, ground

  • 1 large ripe banana

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 cup peanut butter

Directions

  • Add oats to food processor and blend into flour.
  • Add remaining ingredients and blend into thick dough.
  • Move dough to refrigerator and chill for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 300*F.
  • Roll out dough on floured surface and cut into small shapes (mine were roughly the size of a nickel and about a centimeter tall).
  • Place on parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  • Cook for 15 minutes.
  • Let cool before serving to dogs.

Notes

  • Can be kept at room temperature for a few days, but I tend to freeze half and keep the other half in the refrigerator for longer stability.
